A number of James Dunnett’s carvings have been included in group exhibitions. A joint exhibition with the painter Robert Fitzmaurice at the National Trust’s Sandham Chapel, Hampshire, opened on 7 April running until 1 May 2022. James Dunnett studied sculpture for a year on Sir Anthony Caro’s course at St Martin’s School of Art in the 1970s. His particular interest in planes in sculpture is related to planes in architecture, seen as generators of space.
